These terms and conditions apply between you the User of this Website (including any subdomains unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions), and Uganda Muslim Community in UK (UMC UK) — a charity registered in England and Wales under charity number 1115442 — the owner and operator of this Website. Please read these terms and conditions carefully, as they affect your legal rights. Your agreement to comply with and be bound by these terms is deemed to occur on your first use of the Website.
In these terms and conditions "User" or "Users" means any third party that accesses the Website and is not either (i) employed by UMC UK and acting in the course of their employment or (ii) engaged as a consultant or otherwise providing services to UMC UK.

Welcome to the Uganda Muslim Community (UMC UK) privacy notice. This covers our members, but also some non-member partners, contributors and subscribers. Membership to UMC UK is activated through submission of a membership application on our website, and terminated by email request to the General Secretary.

When you attend a UMC UK webinar or online meeting it may be recorded and shared with attendees and the wider UMC UK community. When you attend an event we may take photos for marketing — please let the organiser know in advance if you do not wish your photo to be used.

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. We use data to manage our relationship with you, administer and protect our charity and website, make recommendations about events, ask for feedback, improve our website through analytics, and pay expenses by bank transfer.
