Marriage
A sacred and solemn contract — solemnised in accordance with the Sunnah, with an official Nikah certificate.
A covenant blessed in faith.
Marriage is a sacred and solemn contract between a bride and groom — a strong covenant as expressed in the Quran 4:21. At UMC UK, we facilitate the solemnisation of an Islamic marriage. Both the groom and bride define their various terms and conditions of their liking; both parties have to mutually agree and enter this contract.
In Islam, marriage is of great importance and prestige as establishing a family is necessary in order to construct a prosperous society.
The newly married couple is provided with an official Nikah certificate to show that they have been married according to Islamic Law here at UMC UK.
