The Uganda Muslim Community in the United Kingdom — supporting Muslims of Ugandan origin since 2005.

Who we are

A registered UK charity rooted in service.

The Uganda Muslim Community in the United Kingdom (UMC UK) is a charitable organisation supporting Muslims of Ugandan origin living in the United Kingdom.

UMC UK was formally inaugurated in May 2005 with the adoption of its Constitution as its governing document. It is a registered charity (No. 1115442). Our main aim is to promote health and well-being, social welfare, religious education, and cultural heritage.

In addition to the Constitution, UMC UK has developed a full suite of governance policies and procedures to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with Charity Commission standards.

Working with local authorities to raise awareness of community health issues.

Empowering members to participate in inter-community initiatives.

Training, advocacy and support on socio-economic issues, education and immigration.

Partnering with statutory, voluntary and community groups for holistic services.

Engagement in interfaith networks and strategic working groups.

Setting up projects that deliver tangible short-term results.

Working directly with families and youth on social issues and rule of law.
